Edelbrock rpm air gap vs performer rpm

I keep running into the Edelbrock Performer rpm air gap intake for LT1 engines and its about $400. So I am curius if anyone has this and has experience with it?.

The difference between the rpm and the rpm airgap is the airgap has air under the plenum and a notched plenum divider the rpm has oil under the plenum and a solid plenum divider. The Performer is simply an aluminum copy of the stock iron intakes. The RPM will perform as well as the stocker on the bottom end but will give it a boost on top. If your peak power is at or below 6500, I would run the air gap unless you plan fuel injection. In which case the Victor Jr. makes a better conversion intake. Overall power in the 2500-6500 rpm is very similar. I love my Victor Jr., but will probably do regular Performer RPM for my next intake.
